Hey everyone, it's great to find such an awesome community of inspiring artists. I found this site whilst stuck in the house on a wet miserable day. I mention this, as the the weather seems to have a huge impact on me and my creativity. During wet and miserable days I often browse through websites looking for interesting design and photography sites. It's when the sun comes out that I seem to wake up and steer away from the internet. I love the sun. The warmth of the sun seems to defrost my brain. Through the winter I have a huge lack of inspiration, but when it gets to spring time I start to come up with lots of ideas. I think it's the fact everything starts to wake up and come to life. Lots of saturated colour smiles all around and everything seems to scream fun and excitement. This without a doubt rubs off on me,

Design for me is a way of escape. I spend a lot of time in the summer putting ideas to paper and using the dark winter nights developing them on my computer. I love to turn the world upside down, taking ordinary subjects and somehow putting a quirky spin on them. I do this a lot when working on my own personal design work.
I am working on a collection of T shirts that I am releasing shortly, under the brand,The simple things. The designs are based around random ideas that just pop out of my head. I don't expect or even want people to get or like every design. I am pleased when an individual does connect with a simple design. It's a great moment, just as it is when someone in a room shares a joke, whilst most others are oblivious to it.


Photography is my first love, but since doing my design degree I have somehow found myself distanced from this subject, which is sad, as it what I have always wanted to do as a career. I am gradually getting back into photography, taking hold of any opportunities that arise. Its amazing to get paid to to do something I love and am so passionate about.
